Bailey 1662 - ADOPTED!
3 yr old F Purebred Rough Sable
Bailey is a very active girl, who needs an attentive home or will become bored and destructive. She likes to be Queen Bee, but will do ok with most other dogs who are not alpha. She would be best placed with another playful dog to have fun and be kept busy. She loves Coyote on our site, and they will play for hours. This beautiful girl really likes to have fun.

Coyote 1763 ADOPTED!
2 yr old F Purebred Blue Merle Smooth
Coyote is young and beautiful but acts just like her name. She will need someone dedicated to doing serious obedience training as we feel this dog was never properly socialized. NOTE: Coyote is coming along well, and learning how to get along with other dogs. . She is an active girl and play is her game!

Gucci 1643 - Rainbow Bridge (new photo in her memory)
14 yr old F Rough Sable
"No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich." Louis Sabin

Jackie 1576
6 yr old F Rough Collie/Husky Mix
Jackie is a beautiful girl, and has learned to trust and bond with people. She would be best without children or cats, and does ok with most dogs. Like the Husky breed she is an escape artist and has to have a very secure enviornment to keep her safe

Lady 1772 New Photo!
11+ yr old F Smooth Collie/Shepherd Mix
Lady was a stray in the desert, but is now a very much pampered house dog. She is a senior girl, but with a lot of love to give. She is very endearing and to meet Lady is to love her. Note: Lady being a senior has some arthritis going on and is on the medication Meticam which greatly helps her. She will need to remain on this medication for the rest of her senior life to keep her comfortable. Our rescue loves this sweet girl.

Macy 1827 - On Trial Adoption
2 yr old F Rough Collie/Golden Retriever mix
This Collie/Golden Retriever mixed girl came into rescue from Lancaster. She is a young and playful pup who has received obedience training from a professional. Although she is young she is not destructive. Macy adores people (she hasn't been around kids yet but would most likely be fine with older kids as she is rambunctious and could knock down the little ones) and loves to be brushed, petted, hugged and loved. She also appears to be housebroken too. She was in a kennel with another dog in the shelter and was fine but sometimes has problems relating to dogs (probably fear related) and can be dog aggressive toward some canines. She is a medium sized dog weighing about 50 pounds. She's a love bug. Macy started her obedience training on December 21 and was graduated on January 10 from basic obedience. She is still not good with all dogs and may need to be an "only dog". She is doing great with her daily obedience practice and has become a very affectionate and ever so sweet girl.

Maggie 1831
11 yr old F Purebred Rough Sable Merle
Maggie sadly had to be returned to SCR due to family allergies. She is in wonderful condition for her age, and is a lovely Collie girl. She has had excellent care in her prior home and needs a comfy loving spot to keep her safe for the rest of her senior life. Maggie is a very adaptable and confident Collie girl.

Prince 1704 RETIRED MEDICAL HOLD
11 yr old M Purebred Mahogany Sable
Prince is in need of a new foster home. He does have arthritis so carpet for him to help him get his feet under him is a must. Occasionally he will need a hand getting to his feet. He also takes a variety of meds along with joint supplements which SCR will provide. He just needs a warm safe home to live out his life. Call if you have a spot like this for Prince.

Sergeant #1832 ADOPTED!
3 yr old M Sable headed White
Sergeant came to us when his owner in military service was transferred. We are calling him Sergeant in honor of this man who dearly loved his dog. He is getting used to life in his foster home but is still rather nervous. Sergeant has just been neutered.

Sugar 1755 Foster Home needed
11 yr old F Purebred rough tricolor
Dear Sugar lost her home at the age of 11 years when her family turned her in to SCR. Bewildered at first, she is adapting to her foster home and has even learned to go up and down the stairs. She is surprisingly spry for her age, and is somewhat of a Queen Bee with her foster brother and sister, although her former family tells us she was fine with the small dogs in the household. After some minor surgery and a dental, she'll be ready to find her retirement home.

Tess 1746 - Special Needs
3 yr old F Purebred Rough Sable
Tess was turned into the shelter for euthanasia by her owner due to having a seizure, her third in three years. She had her first seizure in rescue 4 months later on Aug 25. Tess was evaluated by a Neurologist and diagnosed with Epilepsy. She is now taking the anticonvulsant Potassium Bromide, a liquid put on her food once a day at a cost of 42 cents. It appears that her seizure frequency is low, perhaps only three times per year. Her adopter would need to deal with this as it happens. Tess also has hip and elbow dysplasia which causes her to walk slowly. She is on supplements to repair and preserve her joints. Tess will need an adult home or one with older children and ideally another gentle dog to play with. Tess is completely housebroken, knows basic commands, rides well in the car and is great with cats. She loves to play tug and fetch and is friendly and playful with other dogs. She is easy to live with, and will make a wonderful companion. UPDATE: Tess has not had a seizure since August 25. A recheck exam with the Orthopedic Specialist showed she has improved over the last 5 months and is able to take longer walks and romp with her doggie friends.

Trilby 1525 Special Needs
8 yr old F Purebred Rough Tri
Trilby is a sweet and affectionate Collie , deserving of a good home that will cherish her. She does have some medical issues, and is on a low dose of thryoid, and is seeing a specialist for treatment for her nose, which has been diagnosed as Discoid Lupus. She is on two other medications, which will need to be continued for the rest of her life, along with seeing a specialist on occasion, for blood panels and evaluation. She will need to be kept indoors to further protect her nose from any more damage from the sun. Trilby requires an adopter who will be commited to her care. She will make a lovely companion for such an adopter. Note: This is Trilbys cut for Summer photo, and her meds will cost an adopter around $50 per month. She is responding very well to her medication. Her vet visits are down to only twice a year.
