Name: Tess 1746 - Special Needs - Update and Video!!!
Description: Tess was turned into the shelter for euthanasia by her owner due to having a seizure, her third in three years.She had her first seizure in rescue 4 months later, was evaluated by a Neurologist and diagnosed with mild Epilepsy. She is now taking the anticonvulsant Potassium Bromide, a liquid put on her food once a day at a cost of 42 cents. Tess also has hip and elbow dysplasia which causes her to walk slowly. She is on supplements to repair and preserve her joints. Tess will need an adult home or one with older children and ideally another gentle dog to play with. Tess is completely housebroken, knows basic commands, rides well in the car and is great with cats. She loves to play tug and fetch and is friendly and playful with other dogs. She is easy to live with, and will make a wonderful companion. watch Tess at play with her Collie friend. UPDATE: Tess has been seizure free for one year.
