Introducing Stardust’s “Peter”

Last but definitely not least, Peter has officially claimed his name—and honestly, he’d much rather claim your lap. While his siblings are off exploring the world, this sweet boy is perfectly happy to sit back, relax, and soak up all the cuddles. Adventure? Hard pass. Snuggles? Always yes.

When Andrea Moss, our 4th top bidder in the “Name That Puppy” fundraiser, saw this adorable merle-headed white pup, she was instantly reminded of her beloved collie, Peter. Rescued from the Yolo County hoarding case in 2005, her “Peter Rabbit” got his nickname from his signature move—springing straight up into the air whenever volunteers came near!

Now, the name lives on with this little cuddlebug, also honoring the memory of Cathy Toft—a devoted advocate for the breed and so much more - who had her own “Petey” from that same rescue.

So everyone say hello to Peter (or Petey)!
