Help Gracie, Sam, and Solomon on the Journey to Heal
You helped us find foster homes and bottle feeders—now we need your help with their medical care.
SCR recently rescued three 7-year-old collies who had spent their entire lives living outside in neglect and filth—until now. Thanks to loving foster homes, Gracie, Sam, and Solomon are finally beginning to learn what it means to be cherished companions.
For some, the journey has been harder than others.
Gracie came to us very sick, along with her two newborn puppies. Despite immediate veterinary care and round-the-clock bottle feeding, her puppies sadly did not survive. Gracie pulled through and is now doing well, but she will still need to be spayed and receive dental treatment once she’s strong enough.
And then there’s Solomon.
Our gentle, timid boy arrived in pain—suffering from severe bloody diarrhea, vomiting, and extreme dehydration. He spent one of his first nights with us in the emergency hospital.
Right now, medical costs for Gracie and Solomon have already reached $5,400. With spay/neuter procedures and dental care still ahead for all three dogs, we expect total expenses to exceed $8,000.
We cannot do this without you. Please help us give them the care—and the life—they so desperately deserve.
