DONATE FOR Clarabelle’S CARE
Meet Clarabelle.
This sweet 5-year-old tri-color girl recently came into our care and is currently on medical hold. At first glance, you see a beautiful Collie. But a closer look tells a different story. Clarabelle's skin and coat are in very poor condition, most likely due to severe flea allergies, and she has not yet been spayed. She needs veterinary care, proper nutrition, time, and lots of love before she will be ready for her forever home.
The good news? She's starting to heal now.
When dogs like Clarabelle come to Southland Collie Rescue, we make a commitment to them. We provide complete veterinary care, including exams, bloodwork, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and dental care when needed. Some dogs require medications, specialist consultations, or emergency treatment. Whatever they need, we do our best to provide. But the cost of rescue extends far beyond medical care. Donations also help cover food, transportation, utilities, and the upkeep of Collie Haven as well. Recently, we faced the unexpected expense of installing a new septic drain field—one of many behind-the-scenes costs that are essential to keeping our rescue running and ready for the next dog who needs us.
One thing we're especially proud of: everyone at Southland Collie Rescue is a volunteer. There are no paid positions. Every dollar donated goes directly toward caring for the dogs and helping more Collies find the loving homes they deserve.
Today, Clarabelle is beginning her journey toward a brighter future. In the months ahead, her coat will grow back, her skin will heal, and she will leave us for a family who will love her for the rest of her life.
That transformation is only possible because of people like you.
If you'd like to help Clarabelle and the many Collies who will follow in her paw prints, please consider making a donation. Together, we can continue turning stories of hardship into stories of hope.
Thank you for standing with us, believing in our mission, and helping us change lives—one Collie at a time.
